Finance Communication for People Who Run Businesses

You don't need to become an accountant. But you do need to understand your numbers well enough to make decisions and explain them to others.

Our programs focus on practical communication—how to read financial reports, present budgets, negotiate terms, and discuss money matters with stakeholders. Real scenarios from Australian businesses, taught by people who've actually managed finances in operating companies.

  • Real case studies from NSW and QLD businesses
  • Small groups with direct instructor access
  • Flexible scheduling around your actual workday
  • Templates and frameworks you can use immediately

How We Build Your Confidence

Our approach starts broad and gets specific. We start with foundational concepts that apply to any business, then narrow down to your particular situation and needs.

Foundation Phase

Basic financial literacy—understanding statements, cash flow, margins, and the language of business finance. This is where most people realize the numbers aren't as scary as they thought. Three months of fundamentals that apply whether you run a cafe or a construction company.

Application Phase

Taking those concepts and applying them to real scenarios. You'll work with actual financial situations, practice presentations, and learn to communicate your numbers effectively. This is where theory meets your actual business context.

Specialization Phase

Focused work on your specific challenges. Whether that's negotiating better terms, presenting to investors, or building budgets for growth. You'll get direct guidance on the exact situations you face.

Lachlan Pemberton, small business owner

I'd been running my landscaping business for seven years without really understanding the financial side. Just knew whether we had money in the bank or not. After finishing this program in late 2025, I can actually read our quarterly reports and explain our financial position to our new investor. Changed how I make decisions.

Next Intake Starts August 2026

We keep groups small because the program works better when you can actually talk through your specific questions. Our August cohort has 14 spots available. Programs run Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus some Saturday workshops.

If you're in the Newcastle area, we meet in person at our One Mile facility. For everyone else, we run the same program online with live sessions.
